TV and radio programmes to mark anniversary of Peter's death

On Tuesday 4th December on BBC2 Scotland at 10pm, the transmission of 'Peter Darrell: Scotland's Dance Pioneer' will take place to mark the 25th anniversary of his death. This profile of the choreographer and founder of Scottish Ballet explores what made his work innovative and influential.

It features contributions by Michael Clark, whom he mentored, and Matthew Bourne, the UK's most successful contemporary choreographer. Director/Producer is Elly Taylor.

Also that afternoon on BBC Radio Scotland's Culture Café arts programme (1.15-2pm) Geoffrey Baskerville, representing The Peter Darrell Trust and Paul Tyres, representing Scottish Ballet, will discuss why Peter was such an important figure in the dance world, marking both the 25th Anniversary of Peter's death and his legacy.
