Based on a Persian folk tale. La Péri tells the story
of Iskander who resting during a journey sees a magic lotus, the
flower of immortality, which unknown to him is guarded by a magic
creature, La Péri. He steals it - La Péri reappears
as a woman and, bewitched by her, Iskander returns the flower.

After a sumptuous Christmas party, little Clara falls asleep
and dreams that she helps the Nutcracker Prince to defeat an army
of giant mice. She is rewarded by a visit to the Land of Snow
and the Realm of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
