Victor Quijada
(Self Observation Without Judgement)

Victor Quijada is currently based in Montreal, Canada.

Introduced to dance on the streets of California, Victor was breakdancing by the age of eight. After completing a more formal dance training at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, he spent two years working with his mentor Rudy Perez' Performance Ensemble.

He later went on to work with Twyla Tharp Dance in New York City. In the summer of 2000, Victor moved to Montreal to join Les Grands Ballet Canadiens.

In 2002 after years of exploring dance and theatre from urban, classical and contemporary angles he formed Rubberbandance Group. His work with Rubberbandance Group explores humanity and human relationships through a unique fusion of these dance and theatre styles.
