2007

The Peter Darrell Choreographic Award provides a unique opportunity for choreographers. Two awards will be made - one with Scottish Dance Theatre and one with Scottish Ballet - for an emerging choreographer to create, produce and present a new work.

The Award was established in 1998 by the Peter Darrell Trust in order to commemorate the late Peter Darrell CBE, founder Director of Scottish Ballet. Peter Darrell was committed to developing new work and nurturing choreographic talent, and in creating the Peter Darrell Choreographic Award, the Trust aims to carry forward Darrell's legacy. This is an unrivalled opportunity for emerging choreographers to develop their creative skills within the context of a full-time professional dance company, and all the resources that this entails.
